THE PROBLEM

At the end of 2019, the Byrdie Team was tasked with developing a design direction for our first Byrdie Beauty Lab- a 2-day live event in Los Angeles with workshops, panels, and wellness sessions for the public.

THE CONSTRAINTS

Due to covid we had to pivot our strategy entirely or cancel.

THE SOLUTION

Our team decided to pursue a covid-safe, fully virtual Byrdie Beauty Lab held online in September 2020. I partnered with my team’s art director as design lead to execute the design for the entire experience. The execution consisted of a custom designed set, a live stream hosting page, an RSVP informational landing page, and 800 fully custom boxes with beauty products mailed to directly to participants. Byrdie Beauty Lab won the 2021 Glossy Beauty Awards for Best Strategy Pivot.
